Gift of Education
Mahtab Narsimhan once said, "A good education is the greatest gift you can give yourself or anyone else."
Many of us who have recently graduated find ourselves still grappling with student loan repayments instead of being able to enjoy our "adult money". For others, the dream of pursuing further education wasn't even an option given to you due to financial constraints.
Nevertheless, we acknowledge that despite the huge financial commitment involved, attending a reputable university was a worthwhile investment. Be it the networks formed or the skills developed, the benefits are undeniable.
Ten, twenty years down the road, wouldn't it be nice to provide your children the opportunity of furthering their studies? Even better, to give your children a head start where they can enjoy their "adult money" and without worrying about the outstanding debts that they would be facing if it wasn't for their parent's planning.
Besides, there is this Chinese idiom of "活到老学到老", meaning that we are never too old to learn. What if one day you decided to learn something new? This could not only be a gift to your children but yourself as well!
